At the kick-off phase of the project, all get to know each other: Customer, end-customer and service provider. The tools, standards and workflows required are defined and it is made sure that the necessary project infrastructure as well as project organisation are in place. It is only on this basis that a targeted, qualitatively high-value and efficient implementation of all further project steps is possible.

Audit

This is where the precise number of applications is determined. In a subsequent step, the requirement is to reduce the volume of these as much as possible – a rationalisation that is controlled by the SAB (Software Approval Board). All information required about licences, sources, software products, version topicality etc. come together here and the costs are considerably reduced.

Apart from that, the audit generates transparency. Customer as well as service provider now know precisely how many applications have to be processed and what the precise scope of the project is. Upon this basis, detailed time planning can be made.
